Ivan Makatura

Skilled security manager with more than fifteen years of experience as Chief Security Officer in the banks and a few more years as an Executive Consultant in IBM. Recognized in the IT industry since 1993. Professionally focusing on Information Security Governance and Cyber Risk Management.

Ivan is the expert witness in field Security and protection of information systems licensed by Slovak Ministry of Justice. He acts also as certified information security auditor.

He graduated at Technical University of Košice, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, studied Computer science and graduated from the same school in Applied Informatics. Later he completed a postgraduate degree in Judicial Expertise and Forensic Science at Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.

He holds a lot of professional certifications in the field of information security and management of risks. He is a well-known lecturer at local and international conferences and educational events as well as author of many articles and publications on information security and personal data protection.
